New Addition to the Family

So Warren and I decided to skip the whole lets get a fish, then a cat, perhaps after that a dog. If we were able to keep all of those animals alive we would then think about having kids...well that all went out the window at the beginning of the year.

We are trucking ahead and just having a kid!

I am now 9 weeks pregnant! We went to our first OB/GYN visit and had the first baby's (AKA Chiquito) picture. The ultrasound picture is below. I had a hard time scanning it and what-not but the second one is the same picture but with text showing what is where. You can't read it unless you click on it and save it and see it bigger. I should get better at this soon.

Warren and I actually found out when I was two weeks! I somehow knew and just had a feeling that something wasn't normal...along with the sleepiness and super tender chest. It was the first weekend I slept in past 9:30am! This picture actually helped me get REALLY excited about this whole thing, cause lets face it...we all knew this wasn't planned for another 3-5 years. I had a really hard time with the news at first but slowly started to get excited about it all. Warren has been elated since day one! I'm a lucky gal! He has been so great and pampering me with anything and everything I need.

I will probably post a lot of thoughts...happy and sad on here about this new endeavor and I will for sure keep you all posted on the growth of new Baby B!

What great news. While it may not have been according to the original plan, I'm glad to read the excitement building with you two over the big news. Now for the advise...use this time to go out to dinner as a couple, see movies, take long baths, and do things that you can't do when chiquito comes. Your life will never again be the same, but parenthood is a good change and one that no one can describe accurately because there just aren't the right words. Enjoy this special time.

Congrats, Nat!! I am so excited for you!! Honestly, I have been watching your blog and waiting for this news. Something about seeing you and Warren together made me think that a baby, although unplanned, would not be too far away in your future. Two people with that much love cannot simply save it all for themselves!! Take it from the mommy of a completely unexpected honeymoon baby...there is nothing more precious than parenthood. Watch our blog to see what to expect in a couple of years...it only gets better from here!
