Our baby B!

May 15, 2008

I know I'm a little behind on keeping up with this blog but I'm trying to play catch up quick! These pictures were taken when I was 21 weeks. The ultrasound took an hour and half because we actually got to be guinea pigs for this new machine. So naturally it took awhile for the doc to learn how to use it but we got a free CD of pictures and video. The video is hard to see since it is a 3D image but I think you can all figure it out. The docs were very impressed at how much the baby moved...he/she wouldnt stop! But it just proved how healthy he/she is. We even got to see detailed images of the heart. Warren and my mom went with me and they were both tortured not being able to find out if the baby is a he or she. Baby B is about 1 pound in these pictures.

First up, the black and whites. Here is his/her profile with the hand coming towards his/her face. I love the nose!! You can see the heart in his chest this picture. It is the fuzzy round thing.

Here is the arm and thigh.

And now for the 3D images...kinda weird and sometimes creepy but still really cool! Here he/she is rubbing his/her face with his (I'm tired of the his/her thing so to make things easy it is a he for now) hand.

This one is looking down at his feet...they are so chubby! Just like his mom. :)
Now we are looking at the bottom of his feet. All 10 toes are there.
This one is my favorite! Another profile picture! I love his nose! I hope it turns out like Warren's...
For the finale...a video watching him from the top.
We can't wait to finally meet the little squirt that keeps playing soccer and doing the jiggy in my belly. He also loves to dance to music...when we have any music going he kicks around. Obviously getting the dance moves from me. ;)

Camping 101

May 9-11, 2008

I have never been camping and my darling husband decided to take me on my first trip...all while carrying his first child. We headed out to the Guadalupe River State Park on a Friday afternoon and Jenn and Ryan met us that night with Layne and Chris the following Saturday morning.

Our tent that Warren set up with a teeny tiny bit of my help.

Here is our friend the armadillo...
And the centipede...

Me taking a break after Warren setup the tent...

That night Jen and Ryan showed up and we helped them setup. The next morning Warren caught me not being such a happy camper because of the heat...like I told him "You try carrying another human body weight wth an already warm natured person!" I also wasn't very thrilled having a cricket keep me up all night.
Even Sarge got a a fan!!! Did my sweet, thoughtful husband get me one? Nooooo, fans are for sissies he says...he had a lesson learned.

When Layne and Chris made it in we headed out to the river...whew!

What an amazing invention God made...a cold river! Lets just say it saved Warren from taking me to a hotel. :)
That night we headed back for some good food!!!

Our head chef, Jenn
Layne and I enjoying the grub!

Layne and Chris doing there thing...looking so darn cute!
Not sure what Ryan is doing...just being Ryan I guess.
Overall we had a great weekend. We got to spend time together in the great outdoors...the big question now is, would I do it again??? Only with a fan and a thicker air mattress. Warren got to experience sleeping on the ground since I was too hot to share the space. It ended up cooling off Saturday night...of course!

Tatiana's 17th Birthday!

Tatiana graced us with her presence on April 17, 1991 so we went out to Cheddar's (we're there a lot to celebrate events so David can be a part of it) to celebrate.

This is how I remember her...

She's getting so big! I still can't believe how old she is.

Happy Birthday, Tatiana!! We love you!!!

Cheryl's Birthday!

April 12, 2008

So I had to head out to Denver for business and Warren and I took advantage of it to visit C-Mom on her birthday the weekend before.

J-dad made reservations at this awesome restaurant in Boulder. It is called The Flagstaff and it had an amazing view. There were these cool carvings on the trees, one of them being a bear (shown below). The food was absolutely amazing! Some appetizer snacks were served on a rabbit! Super cute!

Soon-to-be Abuelos!

Happy Birthday C-Mom!!

Some pictures of Warren and I before we dropped him off at the airport.

Which one is pregnant??

Warren kissing the tiny baby bump.

After we dropped Warren off J-dad headed off to the airport shortly after for a business trip. So it was just the ladies on a Sunday afternoon. We hung out on the patio in the back yard for a few hours enjoying the wonderful (dry) weather. We then went out to a really yummy pizza joint and grabbed a movie. I picked out the movie for the night (a Ben Stiller one) and it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be (sorry C-mom). Either way we had a great time. Monday morning we had a nice breakfast and went for a walk at the park. Then C-mom dropped me off at the convention center for actual work...yuck.

California Visit

California 2008

This past weekend Warren and I were able to make it to Los Angeles for the weekend to surprise Michelle...and boy we did. I wish we had pictures of her face but we were all to excited to make it a photo op.
Our flight was delayed by 4 hours on Friday so we got in pretty late and made it out to a little bar for some food. We split our time between Redondo Beach and Marina del Rey (this is where Michelle's boyfriend lives, Chris).

Saturday we had a delicious brunch at some really cool place in Marina del Rey then we headed out to The J. Paul Getty Museum. This would have been a really great photo op but of course our camera battery was totally dead! Not a happy camper but I soon got over it. This was the first time Michelle and I had EVER been to a museum...that we can remember if we did happen to go as kids.
Saturday night we went to a Polish restaurant for dinner. WOW was it good! It is called Warszawa. We had all sorts of food. We stayed foe the rest of the evening and hung out at the bar to meet some of Chris' friends.

Sunday morning we headed out for more breakfast at a really cool place that made everything crepes called La Creperie: Bohemian Bistro & Bar. It was a really neat place that was very gypsy looking with really good food. After getting our stomachs full we went off to the beach to see Warren and Chris go surfing. This is the first time ever for Warren...hehehe. Once I learn how to post videos you can watch him wipe out...a lot. :) But he was super cute doing it. Chris had a lot of patience too. I didn't catch any pictures of Warren standing on the board because he really wasn't on it much. But he sure did do one hell of a job trying.

We had a great time and we were really sad to go. :( We hope to go back and see them again soon.

Natty & Michelle hanging out on the beach...lucky girl get to do this all the time.

We wanted to wish G - Mom & Dad a very happy 30th Anniversary!

Congrats to the two of you! You have taught us so much about marriage...to laugh as much as you can and communicate! We think we are doing pretty good and it is working so far for us!

Valentine's Weekend

So Valentine's weekend the whole Bickley family headed to Lake Travis. This is the first time that the all of the "Bickley kids" are together with their spouses and of course the parents. :)

**OK, we all know that Layne and Chris are a Childs but for ease I'm just saying Bickley**

These are from dinner on Saturday night...love Ryan's smile! Can you tell he excited to be back!

Another one...

We had lots of fun and can't wait to do it again. :)
